Video Games with Amazing Secrets in Them

Video Games with Amazing Secrets in Them

Video game developers have always had interesting thoughts when developing video games. They always wanted to make the gaming experience of the players a little more interesting than what the game could offer, so they would often hide codes, secrets, initials, pictures, words or what else not inside some hardly reached areas. It was popular in the past, and it is popular now, but nowadays with the internet and gaming forums, people talk with each other, share tips, hints, and easily crack the secrets. What used to be a pain in the neck in the past to find is more available now as the days pass by, but some developers took it a little further and are playing hard to get.

We have come up with several examples where secret games, Secret Slots, and mysterious “Easter Eggs” (As The developers are calling these hidden secrets and codes) that you should see, and that was revealed later, after so many years.

Donkey Kong

Developer’s initials are one of the most common secret codes that were found in the games. Some of them were cracked within days, if not hours, and the developers made them easy and available for most of the players, but Donkey Kong’s developer had a different idea in his head.

After more than 26 years, his initials were first cracked after using an Atari 400 home computer. We are now familiar that you can get Landon Dyer’s Initials to appear on the title screen after dying with a certain high score, losing the last life by falling damage, and starting a new game while setting it to the 4th difficulty. How’s that for secret code?

Batman: Arkham Asylum

In the first Batman game by Rocksteady, there was a secret not discovered for three years. This is strange for a modern game to hide a secret this long due to the forums and the communication of the gaming industry.

In this game, there was a secret room with a person called the Calendar Man In it. He would drop some hints about the next game in the series, Batman: Arkham Knight, but the date of your console has to be the same as the date Rocksteady was formed. Good job whoever figured this out!

Splinter Cell

A game developed in 2006 had an interesting ending regarding its secret – one of the developers was so frustrated that no one could crack his secret that he mentioned it publicly in 2010. This is no surprise, as the players had to use several vending machines in different order, perform bizarre tasks, and eventually, five talking seals will appear where you need to rescue them. You would need to make romance with one of them.

Halo 3

Seven years after releasing the game in 2007, developer Adrian Perez mentioned that there is a secret in the loading screen. Players from all over the world wanted to discover it, and finally, someone cracked the secret.

Set the date to 25th of December, and depress both thumb sticks while loading – a new screen saying “Happy Birthday Lauren” will appear, which was a gift from the developer to his wife.

Which Video Games Have the Best Quests and Stories?

Which Video Games Have the Best Quests and Stories?

Many online games, played on PC, Mobile or console, have an amazing story to tell. They have the best saga that revolves around certain thing determined by the writers, and excellent obstacles that will make the end a well-deserved one. If you decide to wander through the large worlds of certain games, you would need many years to find what you are supposed to find, therefore we have quests to guide your path. But which of the quests all through different genders of games are the best quests that are in the gaming world? Let’s check out several types of games and their different quests, and see which are worth playing.

Guild War

A pure diversity of content, an excellent storytelling, a different game that we have never experienced and it managed to reach a global level with the gameplay as well as with the quests that it offers. Guild war is a TESO game with detailed saga in it. Unlike the MMORPG games that offer quests with standard NPC’s with a question mark on top of their head, in Guild Wars you will obtain quests as you go through the game naturally, which makes it more interesting, and lets you decide the path you will choose.

League of Legends

Riot Games have recently introduced quests in their gameplay, which allows the players to have a goal that will drive and motivate them to play the game at a more serious level. The quests can’t be chosen and follow a particular order where you slowly move towards getting better and better, enhancing your gameplay and moving up the ladder. I personally enjoy the game more after I have a thing more to achieve in it, and it is a nice addition that will get you focused on the task.

Gonzo’s Quests

NetEnt goes pursuing a different, real and inevitable reward with Gonzos Quest Slot. Here you follow the quests of the slot game that will eventually bring you to the most valuable reward that you can achieve while playing games – real money! Who said gaming is not rewarding and just a waste of time? Check it out on the link above.

Neverwinter

Based on one of the best storytellers of all time, Dungeons and Dragons, Neverwinter probably managed to climb higher the ladder when it comes to sagas and perfection of quests. This MMO game has elements of several MMORPG games that are put together in this puzzle and suits every gamer that enjoys questing, levelling, PVP and PVE.

World of Warcraft

One of the better, if not the best MMO RPG game online for the past decade. World of Warcraft is the game that pushed boundaries with its gameplay, and with the best story that is a continuation from Warcraft from Blizzard, it offers a variety of more than 5000 quests all around the large map, which doesn’t stop growing as the expansions pass by. The game also offers you to choose your own path and decide which way you want to go in order to get better and better. As one of the most played games in the world, you are probably familiar with this, and we think it’s a perfect ending for the list we have prepared. What do you guys think? Do you have any games to add?

Best Vampire Video Games

Best Vampire Video Games

Vampire themed media and games have been around for a long time. Ever since Bram Stoker’s Portrayal of Count Dracula overflew the world and herald an era where Vampires will have a big impact and will be everywhere, these night creatures can’t be stopped. With a little slower tempo lately, they are still a big niche, especially in the gaming world. Let’s have a look at some of the best vampire games available and the ones that are worth playing.

CastleVania Series

CastleVania is a video game series that prizes vampires and revolves around them. They are one of the rare video games that have the most iconic vampire in their story and you can play with him. Yes, Count Dracula himself appears in few occasions and makes the game even more popular. CastleVania is available on NES since it debuted in Japan in 1986, and has made Eight major expansions ever since. Check out some of the most recent expansions for PC or console.
Immortal Romance

A bit different game than CastleVania that features several vampires that might change your life in one particular way. Developed in 2011 by Microgaming, it is a vampire themed slot game which is one of the most rewarding on the market. You also might like what you see in Immortal Romance Slots as this might make you happy and smiling in some other unexpected way. It has four bonus features and free spins that make the game even more attractive. Give it a spin.
The Legacy of Kain

The Legacy of Kain is a bit younger game compared to CastleVania, and the first version was available on Play Station in 1996 and soon become available for PC as well. Named after a newly-rescued hero, Legacy of Kain is one interesting game and the series show how the game develops and the perspective of the character is evolving.

Legacy of Kain’s last expansion is released back in 2003, which may sound old, but it’s still one of the best vampire games that you can find on the market. With a perfect saga that continuously grows from the first game until the last, Konami made sure it is here to stay.
BloodRayne
An interesting vampire themed game developed by Terminal Reality which focuses on the times between the two World Wars and grows the story inside the Second World War. Here you play a dhampir (half human, half vampire) named Rayne.

BloodRayne received many mixed feedbacks from the players as many things in the game were debatable. Some were saying that killing vampire Nazis was making the game oriented towards one of the two sides in the war, while others were not impressed by the overly sexualized character of Rayne, as there were moments where she was using it to succumb and enchant the enemies with it in order to kill them.

One or the other way, BloodRayne is a perfect vampire-themed game and can be easily positioned in the top games of this gender.

Greatest Historical Games of All Time

Greatest Historical Games of All Time

There are brilliant events and happenings from the past, and what better way to make a replica out of them than decanting them in a video game and participate in those events through the virtual world? They are already well-known battles, civilizations, times where humans lived.

With the new high-tech innovations and the pace that we are moving forward, we all want to take a glance at how the world would be in the future, to project it and contribute to it. But what about the past?

We made a list of games or game series that represent certain time from the past that should be familiar to every person on this planet, so take a look at it.
Assassin’s Creed Series

With Nine Expansions, Assassin’s Creed has covered many historical events, battles, and civilizations as well as parts of the world from the Assassin’s perspective. It makes a replica out of the battles between the Assassins and the Templars where you control one character. Their next game will go back in the time when Egypt was a powerful force in the world, and there are millions of games that already have covered this time of the world, such as Rome Total War or Games Like Cleopatra Slot.

Anno Series

Not a really famous game series, although it represents events from the past and periods as it is divided in years, from 1503, 1602, 1701 and goes back to 1404. What is interesting is that the next expansion after Anno 1404 doesn’t go back, but propels itself to the future in 2070, and continues to 2205. This shows that Anno developers had a nice plan, but their futuristic move was not well accepted by the games as they are planning to go back to 1800 with their next release in Winter 2018.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series may not be realistic but the first expansions of the game were pretty good for its time. It explained how the WW2 was revolving and building. The mechanics of the guns, the weapon choices, vehicles and everything that was there. Even the events that are there are true, but how they build up is a new scenario to make the game more interesting and challenging. If you are in love with historical shooter games, this one is for you.

Total War Series

Real time combat under your management. The Total War series covers many aspects and games that happened in recent history. You have your goal, objective and city to start with, and you need to find a way to do it. You can build a large army, you can send an assassin to kill the leader which will make your enemies move around like headless chicken, or you can try to form alliances that will benefit you and eventually weaken them later on and try to destroy them. A perfect strategical game that represents nice historical events.

Best 5 Movies Inspired by Video Games

Best 5 Movies Inspired by Video Games

Video games are known, and often judged to be underwhelming and sometimes they lack a story and quality. There are some people that simply would love to experience the amazing stories while sitting down and not moving a finger, with the amazing graphics and sound effects that the movies can offer. For these kinds of people, we have a list of five movies that are inspired by video games.

Silent Hill – Silent Hill may as well be the one of the terrifying game series ever to be developed, bringing psychologically terrifying and reality-bending stories. Some of the most odd-looking creatures invented by the creativity of the human mind could be found here, and to turn this into a movie seemed to be an immense task. But director Christoph Gans took things in his hands and decided to make this Konami game into the perfect video game movie, and so he did!

Warcraft: The Beginning – An action Fantasy film made by Duncan Jones that is inspired by the best MMORPG game and one of the best-rated video games of all time – World of Warcraft. This long-anticipated game made its debut in 2016 and received astonishing feedback from the viewers.

The film is set in the world of Azeroth and the main encounter in it is the encounter between the humans and the orcs. Several amazing locations are included in the movie that is already seen in the game.

Assassin’s Creed – Justin Kurzel definitely made one of the best video game inspired movies with the Assassin’s Creed. The game is perfectly explained in the movie, whistle using some of the latest technology that Hollywood can offer, it made it look outstandingly awesome. The story is the same – the everlasting battle between the Templars and the eternal pursuit of the Apple of Eden. The movie has an amazing outcome and ending, and it is definitely the movie we would recommend you watch.

Resident Evil – Paul W. S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt made an outstanding connection between their movie and the Japanese Capcom game with the same name. What is strange is that the feedback is constantly negative about this game, but the six series of Resident Evil are grossed over $1.233 billion worldwide, which means there are a lot of people watching it. These science fiction action—horror movie series are definitely on the top 5 list of best video game inspired movies.

Mortal Kombat – Seems like Paul W. S. Anderson found the recipe for a successful game inspired movies, as he directed this 1995 fighting film. This is a Fantasy Martial Arts movie inspired by the game that shifted the boundaries of violence in video games. The plot is same as the theme in the game – a tournament where contestants from Earth and the Outworld are fighting for the future of the Earth. If the Outworld competitors win, Shao Kahn will be given the right to invade, and most likely conquer Earth, so it is the Earth’s competitors to determine the faith of the planet.

Do you have a video game inspired movie that you think it’s worth mentioning and finding its place in this list? Let us know!

Video Game Technology to look out for in 2018

Video Game Technology to look out for in 2018

Every gamer is eager to find out what the next big video game technology innovation will be, what is the path that the technology developers have taken, and what to expect next from them. All of these and similar questions were answered in the annual game developer conference held in Brighton.

There are several topics to cover when we are talking about the future of the video game technology. Only one thing is certain – the path on which the future game technology is walking.

Without a doubt, the invention of the VR was a revolutionary move in the gaming industry– and that’s the path that the game developers have taken! Get ready jump inside the virtual reality while using this innovative gadget.

The VR is the main device that the game developers have put an accent to it is the device that will drive the gaming industry towards the future, and it is the device that hundreds of projects revolve around in the world at this very moment.

There are many advantages that are working together with the VR and drive it towards the top of the gaming technology in recent years. One of the main things is that your hands and feet are free, you can manoeuvre around while your eyes perceive the sensation of a virtual reality. Now, there are many projects working on sensors that will detect arm movement, and, depending on the game, they will be implemented inside the game. This technology is already out on the market with the VR Gloves, which is the primal idea and the father to the VR Hand sensors.

Another interesting thing is the VR Chair that is able to move all over the room, rotate, accelerate fast and drop to the ground, just like in the Assassins’ Creed movie device.

One of the latest video game technology innovations and projects circle around the biggest disadvantage that the VR gadget receiver – it is very isolating. Dave Raynard is one of the guys that took this issue in his hands and is working on a VR that will be social, transporting the user to another place where he can hang out and do cool things together with his friends. This may not seem like a great deal, but it has the power to bring together people who are on the complete opposite sides of the world or meet new people from those areas. Scientists say that 10 minutes in the same virtual room already connects you with the other person, and they are able to recognise each other by the way they move.

It is inevitable that the future of the video games will take us completely into the virtual world, and the more we lose the perception of the real world, the better our gaming time will be. Let’s just hope that there will be restrictions as some people may get lost inside it and forget about the real world. But imagine playing World of Warcraft in 1st person or get a taste of Doom and horror moves it can offer.
